View of Tyre Reserve invaded by Heterotheca subaxillaris

ECOPLANTMED project partner in Lebanon, Saint Joseph University, Faculty of Science, will be heading to Tyre on Saturday, May 16th, 2015.

The main goal of the event is to introduce locals to the repercussions of the invasive plant Heterotheca subaxillaris on the city’s natural reserve and on native species.

A number of local people and authorities, students, and experts will go onto the reserve to eradicate the abovementioned plant. Information will be given on the importance of preserving native species and removing invasives, as well as the activities of the ECOPLANTMED project.
