National Research Institute for Rural Engineering, Water and Forestry - Laboratory of Management and Valorisation of Forest Resources
INRGREF-National Research Institute for Rural Engineering, Water and Forestry was created in 1996. It undertakes research related to forestry, water and rural engineering.
The principal missions of the INRGREF are to contribute to the development of the national research policy in the area of Water, Forestry and Rural Engineering, to participate in the protection, conservation and rationalisation of the exploitation of natural resources and to promote partnerships in the field of scientific research and technological development with institutions of higher education and research as well as institutions and public or private firms or through international cooperation.
The laboratory of Management and Valorisation of Forest Resources of INRGREF is implicated with the improvement of managing techniques and production of forest ecosystems and the development, valorisation and conservation of forest resources.
Competences
- Participation in several national and international research/cooperation projects (AGORA, FUME, BIOBIO, etc.)
- Broad experience in the organisation of seminars, workshops and scientific events related to the conservation of natural resources
- Several publications and presentations in national and international scientific events.
- Development of studies and works for the management, conservation, and valorisation of forest species.
